Planta Pipe Tobacco was founded in 1956 in Berlin by Dr. Manfred Obermann. It remained a family business for decades, passing down to his children then to his grandson Nils Obermann, before production transferred to Mac Baren in 2019.
A blend of 12 American and Korean Virginias selected and blended with a good measure of Burley leaf, Planta's Danish Black Vanilla ripens in a special Cavendish process and achieves its superb flavor through the addition of genuine Madagascar vanilla, making for an exceptionally appealing smoke and a pleasant room note.
