It’s been quite some time since any new blends have come out bearing the legendary Partagas name, so it goes without question that when Partagas Valle Verde hit the scene, it was big news. The first Partagas cigar to wear a Mexican wrapper, this top tier blend is made in Honduras at the STG Danli factory using a unique three-country blend of tobacco from the middle out. The filler consists of San Andres leaves from Mexico and Nicaraguan leaves from the lush tobacco regions of Esteli and Jalapa. All filler leaves come from the 2020 harvest. The binder, interestingly, is a Cameroon leaf from the 2015 harvest, and the beautiful dark brown wrapper is an oily, silky smooth San Andres leaf from Mexico, also from the 2020 harvest to match the fillers. Valle Verde literally translates to “Green Valley,” a reference to the famed growing region.
