CAO Pilon Anejo Gigante cigars are the long awaited follow-up to the original 90-rated CAO Pilon cigars . Like its original cousins, the 5.88 × 60 Gigante uses the 19th century method of Pilon cured tobaccos, which is a carefully layered stack of tobacco leaves that helps ferment the tobacco to maximize the flavor and color of the leaves. While most cigars utilize the standard fermentation process of drying the tobacco in a traditional pilon, CAO decided to go a step further by aging each of its Nicaraguan binder and filler leaves for an additional two years so the flavors reach their maximum potential. After this extensive aging process is complete, each cigar is covered by a beautiful , oily, Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The end result is a medium-to -full bodied smoke, offering luscious tasting notes of spice, leather, cashews, and hints of chocolate.
