Terra Nova says Araperique is one of the most sophisticated and rare tobaccos out there. The leaves are aged using the method “perique”, they are layered in whiskey barrels made from oak wood, then aged for a minimum of a year under its own weight. This method was developed by the Choctaw Tribe and is still in use today.
Terra Nova’s Araperique cigars are known for the extremely aromatic flavors, along with a lifetime of character. Strong notes of roasted coffee, accompanied by a smooth sweetness, cinnamon, and fruit.Featuring a silky smooth Connecticut seed wrapper grown in Ecuador, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, finished with fillers from the Dominican Republic, Peru, Nicaragua, and the cigars namesake tobacco from Brasil.
