Combining a hay-like grassiness with subtly sweet, tangy notes, it's a Virginia purist's delight with a complex flavor: rich, deep, and earthy with subtle hints of dried fruits and citrus.

The 2026 edition of Carolina Red Flake features naturally sweet TA-22 (13.53% sugar) Red Virginia, GA-JRL-19 (17.72% sugar) Red Virginia, BRBO-23-HS Dark Virginia, and NC2L-2010 Virginia Hand Strips.
